GENERAL REGULATIONS

Purpose of the festival

The festival aims to provide an opportunity for creative teams and individual performers to remotely participate in the international competition of musical art, for developing respect for the achievements of the world culture of children and youth, and finally for strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between children of different countries.

Festival is held under the patronage of:

  • Ministery of culture of the Czech Republic
  • Senat of the Czech Republic
  • Music foundation of Alvaro Gomes
  • Prague conservatory of Jan Deyl
Festival's participants

Participation in our festivals is open to different performing groups:

  • academic and folk choirs
  • vocal groups and soloists
  • choreographic collectives
  • orchestras and string, wind and folk ensembles and soloists
  • folk groups
  • fashion theatres
  • musical theatres and others

1. Children’s choir (minimum of 15 participants, from 6 to 12 years old)

* Duets belong to the solo nomination

Age

Age limits of the festival are 6-35 years old. Exceptions can also be accepted in some cases, which must discussed with the organizational committee individually.

Tolerance in age limits of the nomination is 30%.

Jury

The Jury is designated by the organizational committee and comprises the honored figures of the Czech and European culture, teachers of leading musical and choreographic institutes of Europe

Evaluation criteria
  • general impression (maximum 10 points)
  • performance technique (maximum 10 points)
  • acting mastery (maximum 10 points)
  • music accompaniment(maximum 10 points)
  • originality of performance and interpretation (maximum 10 points)
  • costumes and properties esthetics (maximum 10 points)

TOTAL: maximum of 60 points from every jury member

Awarding of the participants

The Jury defines winners by awarding diplomas as follows:

  • Grand Prix
  • Laureate of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees
  • Diploma of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees
  • Participant of the Festival
  • Audience award (online votes)

Money prize: Collective, awarded by Grand Prix, obtains money prize of 200 Euro (two hundreds Euro). 

Jury decides according to gained points. In case of disputable situation, decision is made by the Jury Chairperson. Jury’s decisions are final and can’t be disputed.

Jury is entitled not to award Grand Prix, if none of the collectives gained needed quantity of points. (minimum quantity of points for getting Grand Prix is 95% of maximal available points)

Based on the results of the jury’s assessment, the top 10 numbers with the highest number of points will be selected. The vote will be held in the instagram profile @pitagross
The participant with the highest number of votes / likes will receive a diploma of audience sympathy.

Verification of materials from October 15 to 20 inclusive. During this time, you will be contacted if there are problems with the video or application.

Summarizing the results – 30/10/2020 Diplomas will be sent until 5/11/2020 inclusive by email.

All the materials must be uploaded on youtube or instagram. Make sure that your video is available for all accounts.

Participation fee

The participation in the festival requires payment.

Festival fee is 25 euro per collective/soloist (“professional/stage video), next nomination/s is 20 euro per collective/soloist

Festival fee is 15 euro per collective/soloist (home video), next nomination is 10 euro per collective/soloist

For an additional fee, you can order:

video or written expert assessment of the jury member (the form of submission of the assessment depends on the jury member). Price is 15 euros
sending the paper version of the diploma by post mail. Price is 10 euros
certificate of participation for each participant. Price is 15 euros (up to 10 participants) / 20 euros (from 10 participants)

SCHEME OF THE PARTICIPATION IN THE FESTIVAL (SEQUENCE STEPS)

Stage 1

Each participant (collective or soloist) submits an application

Select the payment method in the request. Payment is made by transferring funds our bank account or PayPal payment

In the application staff/principal specifies a link to recordings of their performances for each of the categories (youtube, instagram). Make sure that your link is available to all users.

The application must be sent by email cyberart@o.pitagross.cz or fill it out online on our website (see below)

Stage 2

In response to the request, the organizing Committee sends instructions for payment.

Each participant of the competition (team or soloist) makes a payment:

More detailed information will be sent by email.

Summarizing the results

The results of the competition will be summed up from 20 to 30 October 2020 inclusive. The results of the competition will be published on the website on October 30 on our web www.o.pitagross.cz.

Diplomas will be sent by November 5 (inclusive) by email in jpeg format.

When ordering certificates of participation: certificates will be sent by email before November 10, 2020.

When ordering an expert assessment: the expert assessment will be sent by November 15, 2020 (with translation into English/Russian).

When ordering to send the printed version of the diploma: the diploma will be sent by November 10, 2020

Additional information

Each participant (collective or soloist) you can send your photo and your story. The photo and story will be published on Instagram in the @pitagross profile in pinned stories.

Technical requirements for the history:

  • the maximum number of characters is 2000

Technical requirements for photos:

  • image size 1080×1920 pixels
    the aspect ratio is 9: 16.
    Image format-JPEG or PNG
    The maximum file size is 3MB
